
Week 3 of the KSR Top 25 is officially out, and the latest rankings reflect another week of movement as teams across the state continue to make early-season statements.
St. Xavier remains the clear choice at No. 1, earning eight first-place votes and holding steady at the top. Male makes a strong push upward into the No. 2 spot, while Frederick Douglass and Covington Catholic continue to anchor the upper tier. Madison Central and Daviess County round out a competitive top six.
Several teams made notable climbs this week, including Seneca’s eight-spot jump, Danville Christian Academy’s rise into the rankings, and multiple newcomers making their Week 3 debut.

Just outside the rankings, several teams continued to receive support from voters, keeping pressure on the back half of the Top 25. Bryan Station, Grayson County, Lyon County, and Woodford County all dropped out this week after previously appearing in the rankings.
With more marquee matchups on the horizon, the coming weeks should bring even more movement as teams battle to establish themselves among the state’s elite.
