About Belfry

Belfry High School is located in the community of Belfry in Pike County in eastern Kentucky near the West Virginia border. The school opened in 1925 and serves students from the eastern portion of Pike County. The Belfry Pirates boys basketball program competes in the Kentucky High School Athletic Association and represents a community deeply connected to the coal mining heritage of the Appalachian region.
