About Butler County

Butler County High School is located in Morgantown, the county seat of Butler County in south-central Kentucky. The school opened in 1969 following consolidation of several smaller high schools in the county. The Butler County Bears boys basketball program competes in the Kentucky High School Athletic Association and represents a rural region where high school athletics serve as a central part of community life.
