Calvert City High School was a community-focused institution located in the city of Calvert City within Marshall County, Kentucky. The school's athletic teams competed in the distinctive colors of blue and orange. The high school officially ceased operations in 1954 as part of a significant county-wide reorganization. Calvert City, along with Sharpe High School, was consolidated to form the new North Marshall High School, located in Palma. This consolidation effort eventually led to the creation of the current centralized Marshall County High School in Benton, which serves as the county's single secondary school today. The original high school building in Calvert City continued to be used for elementary education for several decades before the construction of new facilities. In boys' basketball history, Calvert City was an extremely successful program. They were members of the KHSAA 1st Region and made a name for themselves in the 1930s. Notably, the school is listed in KHSAA records as a regional champion in both 1934 and 1935. They were a consistent force in district and regional tournaments throughout the 1940s and early 1950s, representing their community in the competitive environment of western Kentucky athletics until their consolidation in 1954.
