Cumberland High School historically served the city of Cumberland in Harlan County in southeastern Kentucky. The school represented the coal mining community in athletics including boys basketball for many decades during the twentieth century. Cumberland High School closed in 1996 when Harlan County schools consolidated into the new Cumberland Valley High School.
