About Fairdale

Fairdale High School is located in the Fairdale community of Louisville in Jefferson County, Kentucky. The school opened in 1958 as part of Jefferson County Public Schools during the expansion of suburban communities in southern Louisville. The Fairdale Bulldogs boys basketball program competes in the Kentucky High School Athletic Association and represents the Fairdale area, a community historically tied to Louisville's industrial and residential growth.
