Floyd Central High School is located in the community of Eastern in Floyd County in eastern Kentucky. The school opened in 1990 as part of the Floyd County School District to serve the eastern portion of the county. The Floyd Central Jaguars boys basketball program competes in the Kentucky High School Athletic Association and represents several Appalachian communities throughout eastern Floyd County.
