About Franklin County

Franklin County High School is located in Frankfort in Franklin County, Kentucky. The school opened in 1967 following consolidation of smaller county schools outside the Frankfort Independent district. The Franklin County Flyers boys basketball program competes in the Kentucky High School Athletic Association and represents communities across the rural portions of the county surrounding the state capital.
