About Garrard County

Garrard County High School is located in Lancaster in Garrard County in central Kentucky. The school opened in 1968 following consolidation of smaller community high schools in the county. Lancaster, one of Kentucky's oldest settlements, serves as the county seat and civic center. The Garrard County Golden Lions boys basketball program competes in the Kentucky High School Athletic Association and represents communities across the rural Bluegrass region.
