George Rogers Clark High School is located in Winchester in Clark County in central Kentucky east of Lexington. The school opened in 1963 when Clark County consolidated its high schools. Named after Revolutionary War officer George Rogers Clark, the school represents the county seat and surrounding rural communities. The Cardinals boys basketball program competes in the Kentucky High School Athletic Association.
