About Hancock County

Hancock County High School is located in Lewisport in Hancock County in western Kentucky along the Ohio River. The school opened in 1973 following consolidation of smaller community high schools across the county. The Hancock County Hornets boys basketball program competes in the Kentucky High School Athletic Association and represents rural river communities throughout the county.
