About Harlan

Harlan High School is located in Harlan in Harlan County in southeastern Kentucky. Founded in 1917, the school serves the Harlan Independent School district and represents the county seat community in the Appalachian coalfields. The Harlan Green Dragons boys basketball program competes in the Kentucky High School Athletic Association and has long been one of the most recognized programs in the region.
