About Letcher County Central

Letcher County Central High School is located in Whitesburg in Letcher County in eastern Kentucky. The school opened in 2005 following consolidation of several county high schools including Whitesburg, Fleming-Neon, and Letcher High School. The Letcher County Central Cougars boys basketball program competes in the Kentucky High School Athletic Association and represents communities across the mountainous coalfield county.
