About Nicholas County

Nicholas County High School is located in Carlisle in Nicholas County, Kentucky in the northeastern Bluegrass region. The school opened in 1962 following consolidation of smaller community schools in the county. The Nicholas County Bluejackets boys basketball program competes in the Kentucky High School Athletic Association and represents the agricultural communities surrounding Carlisle.
