About Rockcastle County

Rockcastle County High School is located in Mount Vernon in Rockcastle County, Kentucky along the Interstate 75 corridor between Lexington and Knoxville. The school opened in 1968 following consolidation of several smaller county schools. The Rockcastle County Rockets boys basketball program competes in the Kentucky High School Athletic Association and represents communities throughout the rural south-central Kentucky county.
