About Shelby County

Shelby County High School is located in Shelbyville in Shelby County, Kentucky along the Interstate 64 corridor between Louisville and Frankfort. The school opened in 1964 following consolidation of several county schools. The Shelby County Rockets boys basketball program competes in the Kentucky High School Athletic Association and represents the communities throughout the Shelby County school district.
